Clover POS Integration: Auto-Inventory for Retail & Restaurants


Why Clover + Stokkfy?


Clover is a popular POS for retail and quick-service restaurants, but its inventory features are basic:

  • Manual stock counts
  • No predictive reordering

    What Gets Synced


    From Clover to Stokkfy:

  • Item catalog (name, SKU, price, categories, variants)

    Step 1: Authorize Clover Connection


    1. Open Stokkfy → Settings → Integrations

    2. Click "Connect Clover"

    3. Log into your Clover account

    4. Authorize Stokkfy access (one-click OAuth)


    Step 2: Select Location


    If you have multiple Clover devices/locations:

  • Choose which location to track
  • Each location connects separately

  • Step 3: Initial Sync


    Stokkfy imports:

  • All items from Clover
  • Current inventory levels (if tracked in Clover)
  • 12 months of sales history

  • Sync time: 5-10 minutes


    Step 4: Add Suppliers


    Clover doesn't store supplier info, so you'll add that in Stokkfy:

  • Supplier name
  • Contact method (WhatsApp, email, phone)
  • Lead time (days from order to delivery)
  • Products they supply

  • How It Works


    1. Sales Update Inventory


    Every Clover sale decrements inventory:

  • Customer buys Item A → Inventory -1
  • No manual counting needed

  • 2. AI Predicts Stockouts


    Stokkfy analyzes:

  • Sales velocity (sells 15/day on average)
  • Day-of-week patterns (Saturdays sell 2× more)
  • Seasonal trends
  • Special events

  • Prediction:

    "You'll run out of Item A in 5 days based on current sales."


    3. Auto-Reorder Triggers


    When AI predicts stockout within supplier lead time:

  • Sends to supplier via WhatsApp or email
  • Logs order in dashboard

    Clover Inventory Tracking (Important)


    Clover has two modes:


    Mode 1: Inventory Tracking Enabled


    Clover automatically tracks stock levels.

    Stokkfy syncs these levels in real-time.

    Recommended for accuracy.


    Mode 2: Inventory Tracking Disabled


    Clover doesn't track stock (just sales).

    You'll need to manually update stock levels in Stokkfy.

    Not recommended — defeats the purpose of automation.


    How to enable Clover inventory tracking:

    1. Open Clover Dashboard → Items

    2. Click on an item → Edit

    3. Toggle "Track Stock" ON

    4. Set initial stock level

    5. Save


    Do this for all products you want Stokkfy to manage.


    Multi-Location Support


    If you have multiple Clover locations:

  • Connect each location as a separate business in Stokkfy
  • Each location has its own inventory tracking
  • Orders are location-specific

  • Modifiers & Variants


    Clover modifiers (e.g., Small/Medium/Large) sync as separate SKUs in Stokkfy.


    Example:

  • Clover item: "Coffee"
  • Modifiers: Small, Medium, Large
  • Stokkfy creates 3 SKUs:
  • Coffee (Small)
  • Coffee (Medium)
  • Coffee (Large)

  • Each size has its own inventory tracking and reorder points.


    Common Issues & Fixes


    "Clover sales aren't syncing"


    Cause: OAuth token expired or Clover account changed

    Fix: Re-authorize Clover in Stokkfy settings


    "Inventory levels are wrong"


    Cause: Initial sync pulled stale data from Clover

    Fix: Do a physical count, update Clover inventory, re-sync Stokkfy


    "Some items didn't sync"


    Cause: Items don't have SKUs in Clover

    Fix: Add SKUs in Clover, then re-sync


    "I have multiple Clover devices"


    Cause: All devices at one location share the same inventory

    Fix: Connect the location (not individual devices) to Stokkfy
